How are they Selected?
Arthur and Ruth Kroll, longtime growers and evaluators of hybrid daylilies, lead the evaluation team for the Designer Daylily program.
The Krolls own Stover Mill Gardens in eastern Pennsylvania where they maintain a collection of over 1,700 registered daylily cultivars. The vast majority of them are new or recent introductions from leading daylily hybridizers around the United States. Arthur is a national Awards and Honors judge for the American Hemerocallis Society and writes periodically for the society’s quarterly publication, The Daylily Journal.
